Created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, “The Big Bang Theory” is the outrageously funny, completely unforgettable story of Leonard Hofstadter (played by Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon Cooper (played by Jim Parsons), two brilliant physicists who are geniuses in the laboratory, but are socially challenged everywhere else. All that changes when beautiful, street-smart neighbor Penny (played by Kaley Cuoco), moves in next door to them. Besides Leonard, Sheldon and Penny, there are other characters in the show, which are neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler (played by Mayim Bialik), Leonard and Sheldon’s best friends Raj Koothrappali and Howard Wolowitz (played by Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg), microbiologist Bernadette Rostenkowski (played by Melissa Rauch), and cash-strapped comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (played by Kevin Sussman).
Since its debut on CBS in 2007, “The Big Bang Theory” has been TV’s number-one comedy sitcom, and it is the funniest show there is out there. There have been eleven seasons so far, and the laughs will keep on coming when the show’s twelfth and final season comes out in September of 2018. I am such a huge fan of the show, and I have been since I started watching it in January of 2015. This show is always my first choice, while ABC’s “Modern Family” is my second choice. I describe “The Big Bang Theory” as “definitely the best sitcom to come along in TV history since “Friends”. That’s why I do believe with all of my heart that “The Big Bang Theory” will go down in TV history once it finally comes to an end in 2019. There are longtime fans of the show on YouTube right now who think the show has seriously lost what makes it so funny to the audience, but I don’t believe a thing those YouTubers say about the show because I love the show just the way it is and I just want it to have a happy ending when the time comes. Just remember one thing, it all started with a Big Bang! Bazinga! It’s Big Bang Theory time!
